The Local Media Consortium, an association of over 80 media companies operating 2,200 local sites, invites agencies, brands, publishers, privacy advocates, academia, public interest and consumer protection organizations and technologists to join in a multistakeholder process to develop consumer-focused privacy practices that will be implemented by members of the Consortium.
The convening — “Trust, Advertising and Data Privacy: Seeking a New Balance” — will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tues., Jan. 15, and resume from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wed., Jan. 16 at Two Metrotech Center in downtown Brooklyn, N.Y. Seating is limited; there is no application or registration fee.
